Grooming
You may not see them but you will sure notice that they have been out there. Through experience, groomer operators know that because of safety issues the best time to groom is late at night when most of us are in our beds and off the trails. It is not unusual for our guys to put in a full day of work and then pull an allnighter running the groomers out on the trails. Grooming early in the season is important to pack down the snow so that wet areas will freeze and to fill in low areas. When you see the guys out on the trails, give them a big thumbs-up for their efforts! It's no surprise that with fuel costs at an all time high, groomer fuel is a major expense for the club.
Hundreds of hours are spent yearly on grooming the beaten path. We currently have 3 Bombardier BR-160 groomers that are a pivital part of our trail maintenance efforts. We hope to be able to provide up to date grooming information on our new website.
